1. Prepare for full-time clinical rotations.
   1. List clinical sites available for Clinical Education II and III.
   2. Complete the placement process for Clinical Education II and III.
   3. Complete training sessions required for use of the Clinical Performance Instrument.
   4. Create individualized goals for Clinical Education II.
   5. Complete clinical site prerequisites assigned by clinical site.
   6. Discuss initiative, communication, and problem solving in the clinical experience.
   7. List all aspects of the assigned clinical site for Clinical Education II.
   8. Discuss student expectations for Clinical Education II.
2. Discuss the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
   1. Discuss the roles of the APTA, its history, and purpose in health care today.
   2. Discuss the APTA standards of ethical conduct for the physical therapist assistant.
   3. Discuss the APTA Core Values for the Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant.
   4. Discuss the APTA guide for professional conduct.
   5. Discuss the APTA code of ethics for the physical therapy profession.
   6. Discuss the APTA governing rules.
3. Demonstrate understanding of the role of physical therapy management within health care organizations.
   1. Discuss fiscal management of PT including accurate billing and payment for services rendered.
   2. Discuss planning and decision making in PT management.
   3. Discuss PT systems in various settings including schools, community hospitals, multi-hospital corporations, outpatient settings, etc.
   4. Discuss the importance of marketing PT.
   5. Understand and demonstrate quality and productivity in PT.
   6. Discuss laws and regulations governing PT practice in Michigan and nationally.
   7. Discuss ethical aspects of PT management as it relates to moral dilemmas, principles and debates, rights and obligations of employees, patients, and health care organizations.
   8. Discuss practical ways to influence health promotion and wellness for individuals, groups, and the community.
