				Program Code  AAA.15342 This degree prepares students to thrive in the evolving and exciting digital media environment utilizing traditional journalistic principles, the latest technology, and authentic media production experiences. Track 1: News & Information This track prepares students for jobs creating news and information content for media outlets across platforms - print, web and mobile outlets. As a reporter or content provider in the new media professions, journalists conduct interviews, gather data, aggregate information, and present news and information to readers on a variety of local, state and national topics. Potential employers include news organizations, magazines, government offices, informational web sites and sports information departments. Track 2: Public Relations The fastest-growing sub-field of journalism is the exciting career of public relations. Places of employment include corporate, government, non-profit and education sector jobs including director of public relations, public agency spokesperson, government information officer, campaign organizer, director of social media, copywriter, speech-writer and crisis communications coordinator.   Track 3: Visual Journalism Growth fields in this track including photojournalism, page design, mobile content development, and other emerging story-telling platforms make up the bulk of visual journalism opportunities.  You may photograph a variety of subjects for print and online publications, design pages, create graphics that visualize data, or draw illustrations |
