The program is designed to prepare you for challenging positions in the rapidly growing field of Information Security and Technology. Information Assurance provides the skills and knowledge to protect, and if necessary, recover information from an information system.

Notations


  1. A grade of “C” (2.0) or higher is required in OAT 151  and OAT 152  (or ENG Comp I and II/ENG 113 ) and ALL CST Required Core and Elective Courses for the degree.
  2. CST 133W , CST 153 CST 161 , CST 164 , CST 252  CST 260 , CST 264 , CST 266 , and ALL Elective courses are Key Courses: Key courses must be completed within 5 years of completing degree. Failure to complete within the stated time frame will require you to repeat this course.
  3. Proficiency in keyboarding is expected in all CST classes. OAT 170  is available for those students who need to build keyboarding skills. 
    1. ENG 111  and ENG 112  or ENG 111  and ENG 113  can be taken in place of OAT 151  and OAT 152 .
    2. POL 105W  , POL 212W , POL 215W , POL 220W , POL 221W , POL 223W , POL 225W , POL 228W , HIS 221W , HIS 222W , or HIS 237W  can be taken in place of POL 103W .
    3. Any 2 Credit LW course or 1 credit LW and 1 credit LWA course can be taken to satisfy this requirement.
    4. Approved CST electives include CST 259  , CST 262  , CST 263  , CST 264  , CST 265  , CST 267  and CST 269  
    5. Any approved Intermediate Algebra course or higher can be taken in place of MTH 119W  (except MTH 153 )
