Electrical Technology - Certificate of Achievement

Fall First Year:

• ET 100 - Electrical Calculations Credits: 2

• ET 100  is scheduled as a 7 1/2 week class and is a prerequisite for ET 120 . (SKET 100  can be taken in place of ET 100 )

• ET 110 - DC Circuits Credits: 2

• ET 110  is scheduled as a 7 1/2 week class and is a prerequisite for ET 120 . (SKET 110  can be taken in place of ET 110 )

• ET 120 - AC Circuits Credits: 2

• ET 120  is scheduled as a 7 1/2 week class. Class will begin after the prerequisite classes, ET 100  and ET 110 . (SKET 120  can be taken in place of ET 120 )

Winter First Year:

• ET 103 - OSHA Safety and Michigan Electrical Laws Credits: 2
• ET 130 - Conventional Controls Credits: 3

• SKET 130  can be taken in place of ET 130  

Spring First Year:

• ET 122 - Programmable Logic Controllers Credits: 5

• SKET 122  can be taken in place of ET 122  

Total Credits: 16

Notations

1. A grade of “C” (2.0) is required in all courses to earn the certificate.
2. This certificate will ladder into any of the following degrees and certificates: Electrician AAS.60901; Electrician – Advanced Certificate CTA.35901; Mechatronics Technology AAS.15891; and Mechatronics Technology – Advanced Certificate CTA.35913
3. ET 103  - OSHA Safety and Michigan Electrical Laws is recommended for students laddering into Electrician AAS.60901 or Electrician – Advanced Certificate CTA.35901
4. MIT 118  - Safety Practices and Procedures is recommended for students laddering into Mechatronics Technology AAS.15891 or Mechatronics Technology – Advanced Certificate CTA.35913
5. Students who desire to take additional classes beyond the courses required for this certificate should consider selecting courses that are requirements of the program(s) in which the student plans to ladder into.
