Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs by Division

Program Code: CTA.35915

This program generally prepares students to apply technical knowledge and skills in industrial maintenance. This Advanced Certificate can ladder directly into the Skilled Trades in Industrial Maintenance Associate in Applied Science Degree (AAS.60907). It can also help you be more competitive during your job search, as many of our region's employers use these same tracks as a part of their apprenticeship programs.  This Advanced Certificate includes three tracks;

Industrial Electrician– Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service streetlights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.

Plumber-Pipefitter - Assemble, install, alter, and repair pipelines or pipe systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids or gases. May install heating and cooling equipment and mechanical control systems. Includes sprinkler fitters.

Stationary Boiler Operator - Operate or maintain stationary engines, boilers, or other mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings or industrial processes. Operate equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and steam boilers.

Delta College does not issue a journeyperson’s card and does not provide placement into employment or an apprenticeship program. Hiring and placement in apprenticeship programs is at the discretion of employers.
