Completing the Heavy Duty Diesel (HDD) Service Technology Associate Degree prepares you for an entry-level career as a heavy duty diesel service technician. The program includes fundamentals of the operation and preventive maintenance of heavy duty diesel systems and hands-on training that covers a variety of diesel powered vehicles, engines, and power systems. HDD service technician responsibilities may include the maintenance and repair of heavy duty diesel vehicle brakes; drivetrains; suspension and steering; hydraulics; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; electrical/electronic systems; and engines.

Notations
- A grade of “C” (2.0) or higher is required for all HDD courses for the degree.
- HDD 202 and HDD 206 are Key courses and must be completed within 5 years of completing degree. Failure to complete within the stated time frame will require you to repeat the course. See Graduation Requirements .
- Any college level Composition II course with a minimum grade of “C” may be substituted for ENG 113 . See a counselor or advisor in D102, the Counseling/Advising Office.
- MTH 118W (or higher) with a minimum grade of “C” may be substituted for MGT 110 . See a counselor or advisor in D102, the Counseling/Advising Office.
- HDD 210 course fee for testing will be at the current ASE rate and is the responsibility of the student.
