DH 225 - Clinical Dental Hygiene IVCredits: 6 Provides the opportunity to perfect dental hygiene skills learned in all previous dental hygiene courses and learn advanced instrumentation skills as well as application of pit and fissure sealants. (15-180)

Outcomes and Objectives
- Assess, evaluate, and treat clinical patients with a high level of proficiency. The student will be competent to enter the workforce as an entry-level dental hygienist. Incorporate team concepts and instrument transfer.
- Complete and pass clinical patient services at 75% or better.
- Successfully complete the following clinical patient services:
- Dietary analysis
- Medicaments
- Pit and fissure sealants
- Polishing of amalgam restorations
- Root debridement
- Ultrasonic
- Air abrasive
- Successfully complete required process evaluations
