Continuation of Sheetmetal Layout II. Emphasis placed on the layout and construction of patterns found in the industrial plant. Special projects will be assigned.

Outcomes and Objectives
  1. Evaluate progress of SKMT 172  to find at what point to continue with SKMT 173. Class will start (will vary) at instructor's discretion.
    1. Rectangular Fittings - transitions and offsets with square to rounds.
    2. Round Fittings - tapers and tess on tapers.
    3. Irregualr Fittings - round branches
  2. Identify sheet metal fittings and which type of development is required for layout.
    1. Parallel line development.
    2. Triangulation.
    3. Radial line development.
  3. Learn different types of connections for round and rectangular fittings and how they are assembled for installation.
    1. Drives and SS’s.
    2. Companion flanges.
    3. Ductmate - Nexux.
  4. Learn how fittings (round and rectangular) are put together to get from point A to point B.
    1. Throw of angled fittings.
    2. Pythagorean Theorem.
    3. Offset lengths of any given angle.
    4. Roll of any angle and stretch outs of heels, throats and turning vanes.
