As an Architectural Technician, you may assist licensed architects, construction engineers, urban planners and other design personnel in most phases of the development of building or site projects. This program has an emphasis on job entry skill development for employment in occupations such as: draftsperson, for installation and shop drawings; building appraiser for financial institutions or real estate firms, estimator or supervisor for contractors; inspector for government agencies.

Notations
- A grade of “C” (2.0) or higher is required in ARC 101 , ARC 106 , ARC 205 , ARC 206 , ARC 211 .
- Courses ARC 105 , ARC 106 , ARC 205 , ARC 206 must be taken in sequential order. For information about day and/or evening availability of courses, contact a technical career counselor.
- This program prepares you for a technical level career, but some courses are transferable to baccalaureate degree programs in Architecture. If you want to be an architect, you are advised to consult with a counselor about transfer requirements.
- Students planning to transfer should take any approved College Composition II requirement.
- POL 105W , POL 212W , POL 215W , POL 220W , POL 221W , POL 223W , POL 225W , POL 228W , HIS 221W , HIS 222W , or HIS 237W can be taken in place of POL 103W
- Any approved intermediate algebra course or higher can be taken in place of MTH 119W (except MTH 153 )
- ART 107 , ART 112 , ART 115 , ART 116 , ENT 131W , MGT 145 , MGT 153W , MGT 251W , MTH 121 (or higher), any CST or RC course can be taken to meet elective requirement.
