The Manufacturing certificate is designed to provide knowledge and skills that are essential building blocks in the field of Computer Aided Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing. It prepares learners to pursue careers in the computer aided design and manufacturing and to increase the knowledge of manufacturing professionals.
Courses within this certificate are also part of the Advanced Certificates in Computer Aided Design and Computer Numerical Controls as well as Associates of Applied Science degree in Manufacturing and Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Quality Engineering Technology.

THIS CERTIFICATE IS PART OF A LADDERED PROGRAM. CREDITS EARNED MAY BE APPLIED TOWARDS COMPLETION OF THE AAS IN QUALITY ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY, AAS IN MANUFACTURING AND INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY, THE AAS ON MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY AS WELL AS THE ADVANCED CERTIFICATE IN COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN. - A grade of “C” (2.0) or higher is required in all courses for the certificate.
- CAD 120 and CAD 226 are key courses that must be completed within 5 years of completing the certificate. Failure to complete within the stated time frame will require you to repeat this course. See Graduation Requirements.
- DRF 121 , CAD 226 , and MS 113 should be taken as soon as possible as they are prerequisite courses for other courses in the sequence.
