This program will provide you education and skill training for service technicians in the Refrigeration, Heating, and Air Conditioning Service Industry. Technicians on the job are needed to test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and sell the wide range of mechanical and electrical appliances and components in this field.

Fall First Year:

ENG 111 - College Composition I Credits: 3
ENG 111A ; ENG 111B ; ENG 111C ; or ENG 111H can be taken in place of ENG 111
HVAC 121 - Fundamentals of Refrigeration & A/C Credits: 3
HVAC 126 - Refrigerant Piping & Practices Credits: 3
HVAC 135 - Heating System Fundamentals Credits: 3
MTH 119W - Intermediate Algebra Credits: 4
Any approved Intermediate Algebra course or higher can be taken in place of MTH 119W (except MTH 153 )

A Grade of “C” (2.0) or higher is required in HVAC 136 , HVAC 150 , HVAC 210W , HVAC 230 , and HVAC 235 , which are also key courses and must be completed within 5 years of completing the certificate.
