Students who continue and complete the Associate Degree in Automotive Service Technology will have a broader based education.

A grade of “C” (2.0) or higher is required in all classes in Level 2 (AUTO 151 , AUTO 152 , AUTO 153 , AUTO 154 , AUTO 155 , AUTO 156 , AUTO 157 , AUTO 158 and AUTO 160 ) and Level 3 (AUTO 201W , AUTO 202W , AUTO 203 , AUTO 204 , AUTO 205 , AUTO 206 , AUTO 207 , AUTO 208W and AUTO 249 ).
All classes in Level 2 (AUTO 151 , AUTO 152 , AUTO 153 , AUTO 154 , AUTO 155 , AUTO 156 , AUTO 157 , AUTO 158 and AUTO 160 ) and Level 3 (AUTO 201W , AUTO 202W , AUTO 203 , AUTO 204 , AUTO 205 , AUTO 206 , AUTO 207 , AUTO 208W and AUTO 249 ) are Key courses and must be completed within 5 years of completing certificate. The Automotive Service Skills Internships require a current State of Michigan Motor Vehicle Training Permit; Motor Vehicle Mechanic Certifications in all areas; or a combination of both that would cover all areas. The student must consult with the automotive faculty before starting their internships. The student will be responsible for obtaining the place of employment for the the internship which must be acceptable by Delta College. Two internships are required for the certificate.
AUTO 226 and AUTO 216 are electives that can be taken but are not required.
