The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Alternative Energy: Wind Turbine Technology is a two-year program designes to prepare students for a career in the Wind Industry. Upon graduation in this program you will have acquired the skills necessary to operate, maintain, service, and troubleshoot industrial wind turbines. This is a rapidly growing industry with a high demand for trained individuals. Employment opportunities include: Wind Turbine Technician, Operations Technician, Service and Maintenance Technician.

Notations


  1. A grade of “C” (2.0) or higher is required in all courses for the degree.
  2. Student is responsible for equipment, tools, and gear as required. Cost may exceed $200. Equipment for WTT 110  includes all-leather work gloves, OSHA approved safety glasses and safety work boots.
  3. Students will be responsible for completing a Student Physical Examination Form prior to the first day of WTT 110  class. The examination form can be obtained from Counseling or the WTT Program Coordinator
  4. Due to industry standards related to safety equipment, student weight must not exceed 250 lbs.
