Surveys small computer systems used for personal, business, and industrial applications including hardware, software, and operating systems. Uses MS Office for word processing, spreadsheets, and database software as well as the evaluation and selection of systems.

Outcomes and Objectives
- Demonstrate understanding of Microsofts Word's basic features.
- Demonstrate basic features of Word: entering text, editing text, spelling and grammar checking, saving, printing, retrieving, cutting and pasting text and graphics, and other text enhancement functions.
- Produce a technical paper.
- Plan, organize and write a technical paper or web page.
- Demonstrate understanding of Microsoft Excel’s basic features.
- Demonstrate ability to create a simple spreadsheet.
- Use add, subtract, multiply, and divide in formulas.
- Use built in functions.
- Design spreadsheets using sound design that are easy to understand.
- Demonstrate understanding of Microsoft Access’s basic features.
- Demonstrate ability to create a database.
