SKEL 134 - Lineworker Climbing TechniquesCredits: 5 Provides participants with the basic knowledge and pole climbing skills necessary to progress through the Lineworker/Electrical Utility Program. Student is responsible for climbing equipment, tools, and foul weather gear as required. Cost may exceed $200.

Outcomes and Objectives
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of pole climbing and safety techniques
- Inspect and maintain climbing equipment
- Inspect poles for safety prior to climbing
- Climb wooden poles using defined criteria
- Perform “Freestyle” and “Bucking” climbing techniques
- Demonstrate proper use of fall restraint equipment
- Demonstrate basic knot tying skills
- Demonstrate and perform secondary level Hurtman Rescue
