Continues radiographic positioning. Provides the knowledge and skill necessary to perform radiographic procedures of the cranium and facial regions. Includes pediatric, geriatric, surgical, and trauma applications for these procedures. RAD 235 grade will be the same as RAD 235L grade.

Outcomes and Objectives 1. Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in procedures of the cranium. A. Palpate relative positioning landmarks B. Manipulate radiographic equipment to obtain image of anatomy C. Identify anatomy on a radiograph D. Discuss pathologic conditions involving the cranium E. Critique cranium radiographs based on evaluation criteria provided in the textbook or in lecture. 2. Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in procedure of the facial bones. A. Palpate relative positioning landmarks B. Manipulate radiographic equipment to obtain image of anatomy C. Identify anatomy on a radiograph D. Discuss pathologic conditions involving the facial bones 3. Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in procedures of the sinuses. A. Palpate relative positioning landmarks B. Manipulate radiographic equipment to obtain image of anatomy C. Identify anatomy on a radiograph D. Discuss pathologic conditions involving the sinuses E. Critique assorted paranasal sinus, mastoid, and temporal bone radiographs based on evaluation criteria provided in the textbook and/or audiovisuals.
