RAD 235L - Radiographic Procedures 3 Lab

Continues radiographic positioning. Provides the knowledge and skill necessary to perform radiographic procedures of the cranium and facial regions. Includes pediatric, geriatric, surgical, and trauma applications for these procedures. RAD 235 grade will be the same as RAD 235L grade.

Prerequisite(s): RAD 110L, RAD 110, RAD 120W, RAD 122, RAD 180L, RAD 180, RAD 205W, LWA 206B, LWA 206C each with a “C” (2.0) minimum grade

1. Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in procedures of the cranium.

A. Palpate relative positioning landmarks

B. Manipulate radiographic equipment to obtain image of anatomy

C. Identify anatomy on a radiograph

D. Discuss pathologic conditions involving the cranium

E. Critique cranium radiographs based on evaluation criteria provided in the textbook or in lecture.

D. Discuss pathologic conditions involving the sinuses

E. Critique assorted paranasal sinus, mastoid, and temporal bone radiographs based on evaluation criteria provided in the textbook and/or audiovisuals.
