PTA 110 - Fundamentals of Patient MobilityCredits: 2 Instructional Contact Hours: 2
Introduces basic principles of body mechanics and lifting techniques. Focuses on the analysis of gait, gait training, use of assistive devices, patient transfers, bed mobility, postural assessment, balance, and flexibility.
Prerequisite(s): HSC 105 ; Admission to Physical Therapist Assistant program. Corequisite(s): PTA 101 , PTA 101LW , PTA 103 , PTA 110L , and PTA 118 Lecture Hours: 30 Lab Hours: 0 Meets MTA Requirement: None Pass/NoCredit: Yes
