Studies statistical concepts including frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and dispersion, probability, confidence intervals, hypotheses testing, linear correlation and regression, chi-square, ANOVA. A SPECIFIC GRAPHING CALCULATOR IS REQUIRED.

Outcomes and Objectives
- Demonstrate an understanding of the standard measures of descriptive statistics.
- Calculate and interpret measures of center including mean, median, and mode.
- Calculate and interpret measures of variation including standard deviation, variance, and range.
- Calculate and interpret percentiles, quartiles, and the interquartile range.
- Calculate the correlation coefficient and the coefficients of the linear regression equation.
- Use correlation and regression to describe relationships between numerical variables.
- Organize quantitative and qualitative data in a variety of tables.
- Create and interpret a variety of graphs including bar graphs, histograms, stem and leaf plots, box and whisker plots, and scatterplots.
- Demonstrate understanding of statistical inference.
- Calculate and interpret basic probabilities.
- Calculate and interpret conditional probabilities.
- Calculate powers of a number as it relates to the understanding of the binomial probability formula.
- Calculate probabilities using the binomial distribution, the normal distribution, and the central limit theorem.
- Demonstrate an understanding of statistical inference.
