Outcomes and Objectives - Demonstrate knowledge and selected skills needed to perform effectively as a member within the fire service environment.
- Discuss the basic components of American law
- Cite how the laws affect the duties and conduct of members of the fire service
- Identify actual/potential legal rights and responsibilities as well as legal liabilities
- Discuss the legal implications when making fire related decisions
- Describe the judicial process and basic legal terms
- Identify and differentiate the roles of federal, state and local governments
