Presents current spreadsheet and database features using accounting applications. Includes the evaluation of spreadsheets, databases, report formatting, tables, Pivots, look-ups, and macros.
Prerequisite(s): Math Level 3 and Reading Level 2, and familiarity with basic productivity applications and file management. Corequisite(s): None. Lecture Hours: 45 Lab Hours: 0 Meets MTA Requirement: None Pass/NoCredit: Yes

- Demonstrated the use of electronic spreadsheets' basic concepts.
- Use the features for entering values, labels, and formulas.
- Use the editing features.
- Use the basic “built-in-functions.”
- Discuss the terminology of electronic spreadsheets.
- Demonstrate electronic spreadsheets’ advanced features.
- Create and use named ranges.
- Differentiate between worksheet protection and locked cell properties.
- Effectively use various formatting options.
- Demonstrate the basic concepts of relating presentation graphics to sets of numbers.
- Create and manage charts on a worksheet.
- Use database features.
- Understand the basic concepts of table management.
- Perform sorts on table records.
- Perform queries within database records.
- Set up selection criteria and filtering of records.
- Manage interactive dashboards.
- Implement the features of database management systems (DBMS) software.
- Demonstrate queries, sorting, indexes, labels, reports, updates, input forms, graphs, and calculations.
- Use Advanced Functions to aide in Data Analysis.
- Formulate advanced formulas using a variety of functions, including but not limited to, logical, financial, text, lookup, and statistical functions to solve problems.
- Perform a variety of what-if analyses.
- Use PivotTables and PivotCharts.
- Create macros in applications.
- Manage data from multiple worksheets and workbooks.
