- Demonstrate fundamental skills for directing emergency operations in compliance with standards.
- Describe the need for an organized approach to management of emergency incidents.
- Describe responsibilities of the Incident Commander, Command Staff and function leaders within the emergency management system.
- Demonstrate the ability to use the major functions of an incident command system
- Demonstrate fundamental management skills.
- Identify laws and standards that require an incident command system
- Describe the similarities between emergency incident and business management techniques
- Describe the factors that affect emergency management, and list the components of an emergency management system
