Welcome

Welcome to Delta College and the community of Pioneers!

It was during my first year of College that I discovered the language of John Keats, a poet whose words changed the trajectory of my life-story.  After reading "Ode to Autumn," I shifted my focus from political science to being focused on literature and language.  Whether you already know what you want to study, or you are exploring different courses to find your way, I want to express to you: You belong here!

Likewise, all of us at Delta are committed to providing you with an environment where you discover your passions, just as I did early in my educational career.  Your professors, advisors, and counselors are here, more than anything else, to support you in completing your degree at Delta College prior to entering the workforce or transferring to a 4-year institution.

Whatever your path, when you graduate from Delta, you'll be ready.  And when you start this year, we'll be working to fit into your life through flexible schedules and considering ways to support your out-of-class needs, from technology to other services such as a food pantry, tutoring, or financial aid.

As a new student, you'll soon discover that all Pioneers share similar traits: a readiness to learn, a willingness to embrace new ideas, and a drive to succeed.

You’ll find that becoming a Delta graduate brings with it access to a community of professionals and scholars in the region, state, and nation.  We train tomorrow’s nurses, teachers, physical therapy assistants, machine operators, business leaders, and skilled trades people, just to name a few.

I hope you feel the same during your time at Delta College.
