Skilled Trades (Apprenticeship) Electrician - Advanced Certificate

Program Code: CTA.35901

This program prepares a student with the academic skills required to work as an electrician. The core courses meet or exceed the minimum Related Technical Instruction requirements as established by the Electrical Administrative Board of the State of Michigan. This program is for students that are not currently working for an employer under a sponsored apprenticeship program. Students may follow numerous different paths including:

  • A student may complete this program and seek employment with an electrical contractor, machine builder, company troubleshooting equipment, etc.
  • A student may begin this program and become employed by a sponsoring company, at which time they would transfer to the Skilled Trades department.
