Outcomes and Objectives
  1. Use standard drafting instruments and pencils to letter and construct standard geometrical figures.
    1. Construct and apply standard mechanical lettering.
    2. Construct and apply standard mechanical linetypes to the construction of geometrical figures
  2. Use standard drafting instruments and pencils to letter and construct single views of mechanical components.
    1. Construct and apply standard mechanical lettering to mechanical components.
    2. Construct and apply standard mechanical linetypes to the construction drawings of single mechanical components.
  3. Use standard drafting instruments and pencils to letter and construct multi-views of single mechanical components.
    1. Construct and apply standard mechanical lettering to mechanical components.
    2. Construct and apply standard mechanical linetypes to multi-view drawings of single mechanical components.
    3. Apply the principles of orthographic projection to construct a multi-drawing of single mechanical components, such as tooling, jigs, fixturing, injection molds, etc.
  4. Visualize mechanical components three dimensions.
    1. Construct isometric views of single mechanical components using standard mechanical linetypes.
    2. Construct cabinet views of single mechanical components using standard mechanical linetypes.
    3. Construct cavalier views of single mechanical components using standard mechanical linetypes.
  5. Construct sections of single mechanical components.
    1. Construct a full section view of a mechanical component using standard mechanical linetypes and section representation.
    2. Construct a half section view of a mechanical component using standard mechanical linetypes and section representation.
    3. Construct a revolved section view of a mechanical component using standard mechanical linetypes and section representation.
    4. Construct a broken out section view of a mechanical component using standard mechanical linetypes and section representation.
    5. Construct a removed section view of a mechanical component using standard mechanical linetypes and section representation.
