Outcomes and Objectives
  1. The students will acquire the basic language skills–speaking listening, reading, writing–needed for communication in French at the advanced-elementary level. While studying German the students will become familiar with certain aspects of the culture of Germany.
    1. Speak about the weather.
    2. Form sentences with the dative case.
    3. Use possessives.
    4. Distinguish between dative and accusative preposition.
    5. Become further attuned to the nuances of the language.
    6. Become more immersed in the language, culture and history by reading and discussing selected literature.
    7. Formulate written and oral statements with reflexive verbs.
    8. Demonstrate the correct use of interrogative adjectives.
    9. Construct sentences with imperatives–affirmative and negative–with and without object pronouns.
    10. Demonstrate correct usage of masculine and feminine forms of adjectives.
    11. Structure sentences in the past tense.
    12. Demonstrate the correct usage of interrogative pronouns and demonstrative adjectives.
